History
University of Engineering and Technology (UET) main campus is located in Lahore, Punjab Pakistan. The Institution started its operations in 1921 as “Maughalpura Technical College”. In 1923 Institute started to provide Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering diploma and later in 1932 institute started to award Bachelor’s degree in engineering. At the time of Independence institute was well established and was offering B.SC Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. In 1962 it was transferred into “West Pakistan University of Engineering and Technology” and started to provide various Bachelor’s programs such as Chemical Engineering, Petroleum and Gas Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Architecture Engineering, and City & Regional Planning. In 1972 it was renamed as “University of Engineering and Technology (UET)”. UET is one of the top engineering university of Pakistan and well as it earned good reputation among all other universities of the world.

Undergraduate Admissions
Students willing to get admission in undergraduate engineering programs offered by University of Engineering and Technology (UET) and its affiliated engineering colleges have to appear in Entry test conducted by UET, Lahore. UET entry test commonly known as ECAT.
