Aggregate Calculation for MBBS and BDS Admissions

The merit calculation for MBBS and BDS admissions will be calculated as per Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC) following formula.

Matriculation (SSC Marks or Equivalent): 10%

HSSC/FSC (Pre – Medical or Equivalent): 40%

UHS MDCAT Entry Test: 50%

How to Calculate Merit for MBBS & BDS Admissions

[Marks obtained in SSC / Total Marks of SSC] x 1100 x 0.10 = 10% of SSC marks

[Marks obtained in HSSC / Total Marks of HSSC] x 1100 x 0.40 = 40% of HSSC marks

[Marks obtained in MDCAT / Total Marks of MDCAT] x 1100 x 0.50 = 50% of MDCAT Test marks

10% SSC Marks + 40% HSSC Marks + 50% MDCAT Test Marks = Aggregate Marks

[Aggregate Marks / 1100] x 100 = Aggregate Percentage

Marks Obtained in SSC = 890/1050

Marks Obtained in HSSC = 950/1100

Marks Obtained in MDCAT Test = 875/1100

Now put values in above formula, we get:

890/1050 x 1100 x 0.10 = 93.2380

950/1100 x 1100 x 0.40 = 380

875/1100 x 1100 x 0.50 = 437.5

Aggregate Marks: 93.2380 + 380 + 437.5 = 910.738

Aggregate Percentage: 910.738/1100 x 100 = 82.7943 (Final merit)
